Former metal theft taskforce deputy lead Edwards leaves Alchemy

Former metal theft police specialist Robin Edwards has left a role at Alchemy Metals to start up his own business. 

Edwards, former deputy lead for the National Metal Theft Taskforce, left the service in June to join Alchemy as national infrastructure manager for metal theft but has now moved on to launch Onis Consulting.

He told MRW that his time at the metals recycler had allowed him to learn about the "nitty-gritty" of the scrap metal industry after a police career that focused on the more unsavoury side of the business.
